This is an excerpt from the STOPMPRP website:
Know Your Elected Officials
One of the very best actions you can take is to make your voice heard. Stop MPRP, Inc. has put together this document to help. The information below explains the levels of government and includes maps so you can find the people who represent you.
Please take a few moments today to identify your elected officials at the County and State level. You can search here (and at the links below) for the names and contact information at each level of government. Using the maps below, identify the five elected officials you should contact, including your:
1. Senator in the U.S. Congress
2. Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives
3. Senator in the Maryland State Senate
4. Delegate in the Maryland House of Delegates
5. Representative in your County Council (Baltimore County, Carroll County, and Frederick County)
We’ve had several people ask for a form letter. Please know that it is much more impactful to write a personal letter and explain how this project will impact you. That does take a bit more effort, but it carries much more weight with the people who were elected to represent our views.
We are working on a comprehensive directory for every level describes above along with a list of organizations, other elected and appointed officials you can contact to express your views on the proposed transmission line project.
